dc.description.abstract“What Color are Your Mondays?” explores synesthetic experience through the physical and three-dimensional art-form of ceramics and soft-sculpture. Synesthesia is a perceptual phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. This exhibition highlights several emotions and sensations that are intertwined with visual and spatial interpretations through the phenomenon of synesthesia. The artist explores concepts such as time, pain, love, and anger and expresses their synesthetic experience through clay. The materials used in this exhibit are stoneware, mica powder, textile mediums, and sequins.
