Abstract

Organizational socialization programs sanction types of desired leadership. The military defines and persuades for "good" leadership through leadership and development programs designed to socialize future military officers. A rhetorical analysis of The Armed Forces Officer (2006) concludes ambiguities in how "good" leadership is communicated in military socialization programs.
