Displacement adversely affects low-income residents by breaking social ties in a neighborhood, and forcing residents to relocate; disadvantaging low-income residents. Method: A survey, based on the findings in the literature review, was sent to city officials to gauge opinions about the model and its methods/concepts. Results: The results of the survey determined which methods best help mitigate the displacement of low-income residents in gentrifying areas in cities.
