Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas.https://hdl.handle.net/10877/8996Many studies have been conducted to understand the role and duties of international organizations, in connection with human trafficking, less attention has been given to local organizations engaging in the same cause. This thesis analyzes the activities of local anti-human trafficking organizations in Thailand. It shows that these smaller organizations have the capability to be even more effective than international organizations in fighting human trafficking through local knowledge and subsidiarity activities. This thesis links Thailand’s trafficking problem to its economic, socio-cultural, and political variables.Text105 pages1 file (.pdf)enHuman traffickingSex traffickingNGOsNon-government organizationsThailandIGOsIntergovernmental organizationsHuman trafficking--ThailandNon-government organizations--ThailandTrafficking In Thailand: An Analysis of Non-Government Organizations' RoleThesis
