Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas.https://hdl.handle.net/10877/6339Following the death of Thomas Eric Duncan, the first U.S. case of Ebola during the 2014-15 Ebola outbreak, Liberians in the DFW Metroplex became closely linked to the Ebola virus. This link created an environment in which members of the Liberian community experienced varying degrees of stigmatization. This stigmatization emanated from both within the Liberian community as well as from members of the general public.
