In our world, mental illness has become a hot topic in traditional and social media. Stigmas associated with mental illness often prevent people from seeking the help they need, thinking they can handle the issues by themselves. I believe that sharing our stories around mental illness may encourage hesitant people to have the courage to seek help. I am one of many who have learned to become self-aware of my mental health needs.
