Southwest Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas.https://hdl.handle.net/10877/18064The conductive form of polyaniline is difficult to process because it is insoluble in common organic solvents and is unstable at melt processing temperature; these limit its applications. In an attempt to prepare a soluble polyaniline, m-trifluoromethylaniline was oxidized in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid which leads to the preparation of poly (m-trifluoromethylaniline). The products were characterized using gel permeation chromatography and spectroscopic methods, and the solubility and pH effects were also evaluated.Text59 pages1 file (.pdf)enconducting polymersorganic compoundssynthesispolymerizationSytnthesis [sic] and Characterization of Poly (M-Trifluoromethylaniline)Thesis
