A feature-length script with the intent of being produced, Stripes is a story about two young black brothers trying to find their place in a world that is not hospitable to them. Through their journey to find their version of home, they must endure and overcome modern societal issues, including racism, police brutality, mental illness, and youth homelessness. While these issues are included, the focus of the story is on the development of the two brothers, their love for one another and their search for safety, even if it brings them at odds with one another. Theirs is a story that embraces love, compassion, forgiveness, and a little bit of magic.
