These demands can have significant impact on the athletes; especially in the area of career development. Previous research has found that college athletes spend less time than non-athletes planning for their careers (Murphy, Petitpas, & Brewer 1996). This study investigated whether a higher levels of career indecision and lower levels of career certainty are related to increased levels of stress in senior college athletes. Athletes were found to have significantly lower scores than non-athletes on the variable career certainty.
