In particular, research will be done on organizations that deliver social services to the public. This research is based on the conceptual framework of five components: developing exemplary leadership, integrating nonprofit management techniques, building a structured system, forming an organization that connects to the community, and implementing strategic planning. Methods: After electronic survey data is collected, the components of the ideal model are refined. The survey was sent to 100 nonprofit directors and/ or managers in Texas, including in major cities. Responses were received from 28 participants. Findings: A descriptive analysis of the returned data shows the opinions and insights of nonprofit leaders on what they "should" be doing to run their organizations effectively. The survey research provides a basis for creating an ideal model. Conclusion: The research has established a basis for creating a practical ideal model for nonprofit directors to run organizations that deliver social services.Text72 pages1 file (.pdf)enleadershiphuman resourcesorganizational culturemanagementsocial servicesPublic AdministrationAn Ideal Operational Model for Nonprofit Leadership: Delivering Social Services in TexasApplied Research Project
