Three sets of resolutions that have been advanced over the course of history were used to organize the research. Women and peacekeeping issues are broken down into three overarching categories. These categories include: Women at the Hague Resolutions (1915), the Beijing Platform for Action (1995), United Nations Resolution 1325 (2000). The categories and the elements within them are derived from different sets of resolutions that have been proposed over time with regard to women and peacekeeping. A content analysis was performed on the articles that met the criteria.
