Although telemedicine’s virtual visits are increasing in popularity and use in healthcare, few studies have included the perspective of physicians regarding the benefits and disadvantages to patient health outcomes by virtual visit participation. This study explored how physicians perceived patient health outcomes would be affected by virtual visit participation. This qualitative study was constructed using grounded theory methodology and data collected from twelve physicians representing different specialties. The data collected from the physicians resulted in three main themes: exam, money, and provider.
