Findings from this phenomenological investigation suggested that survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) experienced both challenging and facilitative experiences, including reclaiming themselves through dating, learning to trust self and others, negotiating boundaries and control, communication with new partners, sexual exploration, and protecting children.
