Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas.https://hdl.handle.net/10877/7237In an economy where investors become increasingly conscious of social and environmental issues, businesses have begun to incorporate corporate social responsibility into their strategic models. This paper will define corporate social responsibility and discuss the factors attributing to the increase in corporate social responsibility. Specifically, I will discuss how gender composition of boards of directors affect companies’ overall willingness to take on environmental and socially conscious projects and provide a global overview of the topic. In addition, I will address the main factors that differentiate a women’s decision-making process from a man’s and the main obstacles that women face in integrating into corporate boards.Text34 pages1 file (.pdf)engovernancecorporate social responsibilitysustainabilitygreen investingsustainable businesscorporate conscienceboard diversitygender diversityHonors CollegeThe Impact of Gender Composition on Corporate Social Responsibility
