The general education teacher will see varying disabilities throughout their teaching career. It is vital to be properly educated on how to accommodate these students. This thesis serves as a guidebook informing teachers of characteristics, tendencies, and strategies to meet the needs of these students while in the mainstream classroom. This thesis centers around four of the most common disabilities: Down syndrome, ADHD, autism, and speech and language disorders.
