Abstract
Under simple conditions on f and g, we show that existence of positive radial solutions for the quasilinear elliptic equation
div(ϕ1 (|∇u|)∇u) = α(|x|)ƒ(u) x ∈ ℝN,
and for the system
div(ϕ1(|∇u|)∇u) = α(|x|)ƒ(v) x ∈ ℝN,
div(ϕ2(|∇v|)∇v) = b(|x|)g(u) x ∈ ℝN.
