dc.description.abstractThis study examined teachers' perceptions, understandings, and actions related to educational policymaking after engaging in experiences designed to enhance and increase teacher voice. Phenomenological exploration through a preliminary survey, instructor and student interviews, nonparticipant observations, and a review of archival data provided lenses through which examination occurred. The researcher discovered that the experiences transformed the participants' thoughts, understandings, and actions. Participants increased their sense of conviction, empowerment, moral obligation, and efficacy through a variety of characteristics and activities that focused on improving teacher voice in educational policymaking.
