Abstract
Triazoles and triazole containing compounds have many significant applications in the dye and inks industry, as corrosion inhibitors, and polymers in pharmaceutical industries. These compounds possess many biological activities such as antimicrobial, antioxidant, antiviral, anti-HIV, antitubercular, and anticancer activities. Therefore, reviewing recent green approaches towards triazole forming biological active compounds, especially anticancer compounds would be very important for pharmaceutical industries as well as the global research community. In this review, different triazole analogues were analyzed. Colchicine, Flavanone, Cardanol, Bisphosphonates, Thiabendazole, Piperazine, Proteinoid, Flavonoid, and NH-1,2,3-Triazole analogues were analyzed for their cytotoxic activity against various cancer cell lines by using the IC50 values compared to the positive control. The positive control for each analogue consisted of an anticancer drug, of that analogue derivative, that is currently being used in the medical field.
